Initially she supplemented her income with transcribing and editorial work for other authors. ![]() Whilst writing to entertain herself has been a lifelong interest, writing full-time was not a straightforward transition. Since leaving that role she has had several diverse occupations including working as a call center worker, post office clerk, primary school teacher, and painter and gilder on the restoration of the Albert Memorial. When she is not busy writing Brannan enjoys exploring nature, both locally in Aberdeenshire and around the world.Īfter finishing her degree at the University of Manchester, Brannan worked for six years in the Civil Services. She currently resides in a log cabin in the woods of rural Aberdeenshire]], Scotland. She holds a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature with honours from the University of Manchester and is qualified as a primary school teacher, holding a PGCE from the University of Aberystwyth. Throughout her life, she has had an intense fascination with literature and often used it as a method of escaping the real world. Brannan, born in Manchester, England, is of both Welsh and Scottish ancestry. ![]()
